Mrs. Hannele Fors has already a long and varied career as a photographer behind her.  She has worked as a press photographer, a fine art photographer, an educator in photography, as a leader of a photo archive and as the regional artist of photography in Oulu, Finland. She now works as the leader of the International Nature Photo Festival in Finland and as leader of a photo archive in Norway. She has also been the producer and organizer of a number of photo-related projects in Finland, in other Nordic countries and in China. Hannele Fors started the co-operation in culture maters with Hainan Photographers Association and Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Hainan Province as early as 2004. As a result of this co-operation were photography exhibitions and workshops held both in Hainan and in Finland with photographers from both countries participating. These cultural actions helped photographers from both countries to establish contacts and build far-reaching bridges between the actors; the fruitful co-operation is still strongly going on.

Hannele Fors has held a number of photographic exhibitions in Finland and other Nordic countries, in 2012 her exhibition The Sea of Mine can be seen in Art Museum of Kemi, Finland.
